Web applications - Zephyra Studio

Custom dashboards, booking and internal systems built around your process, not a template.

What you get

  • Process analysis and precise feature definition before any code is written, to avoid costly changes mid-development
  • User accounts and roles (e.g. administrator, staff, client), each with access to only what they need
  • A database structured around your real data, not a generic schema you later have to bend to fit
  • Integration with existing tools (payments, email, calendar, ERP) where needed, so data is not duplicated in two places
  • An admin panel for oversight and management with no technical knowledge required, so everyday edits do not depend on a developer
  • Testing against real usage scenarios, not just the happy path where everything goes to plan

Why Zephyra Studio

We do not sell a pre-built 'universal' system that you adapt to yourself with compromises. We first understand how the process actually works in your business, then build the application around that - which means fewer workarounds and fewer 'that is not how we do it' moments after delivery. For example, if your process involves two-step approval (a manager first, then finance), we build exactly that flow, not a generic 'one approval' scheme you would later have to work around with manual emails. The same applies to reporting - instead of a universal dashboard with every possible metric, we show the numbers that actually matter to your team, so no time is lost hunting for the relevant figure among dozens of irrelevant ones.

When this is not the right fit

If your process is simple and rarely changes - for example, you just need to collect submissions through a form - a ready-made tool like Google Forms or Typeform may be a faster, cheaper option with no need for custom development. A web application makes sense when the process has multiple steps, roles or rules that off-the-shelf tools cannot flexibly follow.

How we work

1

We talk through the process in detail - who does what, in what order, what commonly goes wrong - to understand reality, not an idealised version of the process

2

We define screens and the user's flow through the application, checking whether any step can be simplified

3

We design the key screens and send them for review before full development

4

We build in iterations, with access to a working test version throughout the process, not only at the very end

5

We test with real data and real users, not made-up examples that hide real problems

6

We launch and train your team on how to use it, with a short monitoring period to catch minor gaps

Price and timeline

What drives the price:

  • Number of screens and user roles the application needs to support
  • Complexity of the business logic (simple CRUD versus complex calculations and approval flows)
  • Number of integrations with external systems
  • Whether only a mobile-friendly view or a separate mobile app is needed
  • Expected number of users and load on the system

Frequently asked questions

Web applications are solutions built for a specific business process - a booking system, CRM, admin dashboard or marketplace - unlike a website, which mostly displays information. We build them around your process, not the other way around.

A website mostly displays information to visitors. A web application has user accounts, processes data and changes state in a database - e.g. bookings, orders, approving requests. If you only need to display information, a website is the cheaper, faster choice.
