Website redesign and migration - Zephyra Studio
Zero downtime during migration.
What you get
- Mapping every existing URL and planning 301 redirects, including pages that external links point to
- Transferring content, images and metadata to the new platform/design without manual retyping wherever it can be automated
- Redesigning the visual identity while keeping what already works (a layout that converts well, content that ranks well)
- Checking speed and Core Web Vitals before and after migration, so the redesign does not slow the site down instead of improving it
- Monitoring rankings in Search Console for weeks after launch to catch any drop immediately
- A rollback plan in case something unexpected breaks, not improvisation on the fly
Why Zephyra Studio
The most common redesign mistake is losing SEO rankings because URLs changed with no redirects. Before we move anything, we map every old URL to its new destination, so the migration is not paid for with a traffic drop. For example, if a page at '/our-services' becomes '/services' on the new site, both visitors and Google need to land on the right place automatically when they click an old link - without that, every external link and every search ranking for that page would simply disappear. The same care goes into content that already converts well - we do not change copy that works just because it is 'old', we change what genuinely needs refreshing.
When this is not the right fit
If your site is new (under a year old) and just starting to build rankings, a full redesign carries unnecessary risk - it is better to wait for rankings to stabilise before changing URLs and structure. Likewise, if only the visual look bothers you and the functionality and content are fine, a smaller visual refresh (a new colour palette, new photos) is sometimes enough instead of a full migration.
How we work
We audit the existing site - what works well and should stay, what needs to change
We map every URL and build a redirect plan before anything gets moved
We design and build the new site in parallel with the old one, which stays fully live and functional
We test on a staging environment before switching over, checking every redirect
We migrate and monitor rankings/traffic for weeks afterward, ready to react quickly to any anomaly
Industries we do this for most
Price and timeline
What drives the price:
- Number of pages and URLs that need redirecting
- Whether the platform is also changing (e.g. from Wix to WordPress) or just the design
- How much content needs manual vs. automatic transfer
- Whether the old site needs to keep running in parallel during development
Frequently asked questions
Redesign and migration means the old site gets a new look and speed, while content and search rankings carry over without loss - old URLs get permanent (301) redirects, so nothing already ranking on Google gets lost.
