PageSpeed Core Web Vitals - Zephyra Studio

What PageSpeed Core Web Vitals is and who it is for

Core Web Vitals is Google's set of three field measurements that describe how a real visitor experiences your page: LCP (how fast the main content appears), INP (how quickly the page responds when someone taps or clicks) and CLS (how much the layout jumps around while loading). Unlike a lab score, these come from actual Chrome users on real connections, which is why a site can look fast on your office laptop and still fail these metrics for most of your visitors. Google uses them, alongside other page experience signals, as part of how it ranks pages in mobile and desktop results.

This service is for sites that already have content and structure in order but are losing positions or conversions to slow pages: e-commerce with heavy product galleries, corporate sites with large hero videos, sites with third-party scripts for chat, analytics and ads, and older sites that scored well years ago and have quietly degraded. If you are starting from zero, this usually runs together with a technical SEO foundation rather than as a standalone project.

How this differs from the rest of SEO and from plain speed work

Most SEO work we do is about relevance and coverage: keywords, content, internal linking, metadata and crawlability. Core Web Vitals is the one part of SEO that is purely about experience and performance, and it is the part that a content-only SEO effort cannot fix. You can write the best page in your niche and still lose to a competitor whose page renders in one second while yours takes four. That is why we treat it as its own diagnostic and engineering job, not as a checklist item bolted onto an audit.

It is also not the same as running a speed score tool and chasing a number to 100. A perfect lab score in a synthetic test says nothing about how your real users on mobile data in your target country experience the page third-party scripts, cookie banners, fonts and server response times are what usually break the field metrics, and none of those appear in a clean lab run. We optimise for field data from your actual audience, then confirm what we changed is what actually moved the number.

How we work with PageSpeed Core Web Vitals

We start from real field data (CrUX data from Google and your own analytics/RUM if available) per URL group, so we can separate pages that are fine from the templates that are dragging the whole site down. Then we audit the usual culprits in order of impact: server response and caching, image format, sizing and lazy loading, render-blocking CSS and fonts, JavaScript that is shipped but not needed on first paint, and third-party embeds. Each fix is prioritised by how much field-to-field improvement it can realistically buy, so effort goes where the metric moves. On average we deliver sitewide technical fixes and template-level changes in batches, verify each batch against field data as it updates, and hand over a short, plain-language list of what changed and what to watch so you are not left guessing. Sites we build and run through our standard process typically come out of the gate already in good shape on all three metrics.

Price outline

There is no fixed price for this, because it depends entirely on how much of the site is slow and how much sits inside third-party code you cannot simply rip out. A single template fix is a very different job from auditing and rebuilding performance across an e-commerce catalogue with hundreds of pages. We scope it after looking at your actual field data, and you get a defined estimate through the calculator or a short call before anything starts.

Frequently asked questions

PageSpeed Core Web Vitals is the work of getting your site's real loading speed, visual stability and interaction responsiveness into Google's green zone, because those three measurements are now a direct ranking signal and a hard gate on how well every other SEO effort can perform. We measure with real field data, fix the heaviest causes first, and verify the result on real devices.

Not automatically. Core Web Vitals is a tie-breaker and a page experience signal, not a content relevance signal. What it does reliably is remove a ceiling on your existing pages and improve conversion. A slow page that ranks well usually ranks better and converts better once it is fast, but it will not outrank stronger content on its own.
