What we measure and why
Instead of five separate checks, the Website Grader combines everything into one shareable number. The weights follow what Google and visitors actually feel most:
- SEO basics - 25% (title, meta, H1, alt text, schema, robots, sitemap)
- Speed / Core Web Vitals - 25% (Google PageSpeed Insights)
- Mobile-friendliness - 15% (viewport and mobile signals from PageSpeed Insights)
- Security - 15% (HTTPS, Safe Browsing, CMS version)
- Design / UX - 10% (own heuristic: CTA, structure, content)
- Accessibility - 10% (axe-core, WCAG 2 A/AA rules)
How we compare to the average
Once enough sites have been scored we will publish average scores by industry and country. Until then we do not show a made-up "average" - the number you see is an estimate of your site alone.
What to do if the score is low
The score is a diagnosis, not a verdict: the biggest issues are visible right away, and the full report arrives by e-mail with concrete per-item recommendations. For your weakest category we link to the matching service - SEO, security or redesign.
None of the checks in this tool scrape or proxy a third-party SEO tool; every category is our own heuristic or a free Google API.
